Making a cut finger out of wax

Products needed:

WAX- can buy it from Snazaroo or SFX makeup shops on line and its called Nose and Scar wax.
Or you can use PVA craft glue and cotton wool, BEFORE It dries create the wound

VASELINE - soften the wax so it doesnt stick to the tool or fingers whilst moulding and smoothing on skin

FAKE BLOOD - buy it from special effect shops on line or snazaroo
Wound filler blood to fill wounds
Runny Blood to create fresh running blood
HOME MADE BLOOD- Food Colouring, treacle and water 
DARK Red lip stick and gloss can create fake blood

BRUISING- Buy from specialist shops
Creme makeup bruise wheel
Face paints - Blue, red, purple
Eye Shadows
Lip Sticks

TOOLS-  Paint brush, sponge, fingers! Orange stick, blunt knife, back end of a spoon to sculpt and flatten wax, moulding tools 




 Moulding wax from special effects shop online - Ben Nye nose and scar

 Roll in a ball

 Press on bend/joint of finger- using small bit of Vaseline if the wax sticks to the heat of your fingers when moulding it

 Try and press using tool or fingers, keep using Vaseline to smooth to skin 

 Create a lump and smooth edges to skin

 Add Bruises-  Purples, Blues Reds- Use face paint, creme makeup, lip stick or eye shadows.

 use finger or sponge to give stippled effect of bruise

 apply a cut in the wax using you tool- orange stick or moulding tools or VERY BLUNT KNIFE

 Use vaseline if the wax tried to stick to tool

 Apply Fake Blood from specialist shops or crush up eye shadow red, lipstick and mix gloss/vaseline or glycerine to make glossy blood effect
Apply deep in wax wound

 Make sure no blood on top of skin, you need to make the wound look deep with dark blood colour

 Fill with more blood

 Add runny blood, food colouring to the wound ( be careful as food colouring can cause staining on the skin)
